Thank you mom

Tonight we had a Christmas ladies meeting at our house! We had some fun games, but I really enjoyed the part that we made sugar cookies. None of the ladies had ever made sugar cookies cutting out the figures and decorating them. It was a lot of fun watching them decorate them. I love making memories. I'm so thankful that my mom made many memories with me. One of those was making sugar cookies every Christmas! Thank you mom for all the wonderful memories you made with me!

Wow time has flown by!

Well when I started this blog it was with all intentions of keeping up with it, but since Titus has been born things have been super hectic. Titus is now 6 months old and sitting up and almost crawling. Grace is reading in English and Spanish! It is so amazing to see her read in both languages. She is doing so well in school. And Taylor, well she is as always Taylor. The latest episode is that she painted the rug in our bedroom and the bed with face paint. She did all of this in about 5 min. Don't get me wrong she is very sweet and this has actually been the first thing she has done like this for a long time.
So, this is an update and start of me getting back on my blog!! Hopefully, I can do a little bit better at keeping up now!

it's been a long time

Well, I know it's been a long time since I've been on my blog, but since I last posted something a lot has gone on. We finished our family conference and Titus was born, mine and Kevin's moms visited us and Titus is now one month old. Things have calmed down a little bit so hopefully I'll be on here blogging more!

Thank you to my babies!

I'm sure that my girls will probably never see this blog but I just wanted to say thank you to Grace and Taylor! I was so proud of them on Tuesday night we were getting ready for our family conference, cleaning the church, practicing music, ect.... Both girls literally cleaned for 3 hours. They helped sweep, clean the nursery, the bathrooms and the seats! Neither one of them complained. We got home at 11pm and they both got a bath and went to bed. I'm an adult and I was about to fall over I can't imagine being 5 and 3 and doing all of that and still be happy! So, thank you to my two babies! You are so precious to me!

Great food, Great time, Wonderful Friends

Living in another country, especially where they speak another language, can sometimes leave you really missing home. Thankfully, here in Bolivia, the Lord has given me some great English speaking friends. Some are from the United States, some are from Canada and some are from Europe. Well, these wonderful friends gave me a baby shower two weeks ago. We had a great time of fellowship, wonderful food, fun opening gifts, and of course time to "practice" our English lol! Thank you to all my wonderful friends!!!

Days Gone By!

washing dishes just one of the many jobs, and the water fights we got into were so fun!

Me in the second picture in the white T-shirt

                                                             the gang outside the canteen!

I worked a the best summer camp for three summers of my life. I can honestly say that those three summers were some of the best times of my life! It was a lot of work but so much fun. I will never forget the people I worked with and made great friends with. Keep in mind that I was 17 in these pictures! It is crazy to think that 12 years have passed by.

A little bit of paint, a few brushes and strokes, and this is what you get!

Well, after several weeks of painting, drawing, and more painting we have finally finished the baby's room. I'd like to thank my husband for all his hard work in painting and my friend jennie for drawing everything. I'm so excited because this is the first time that I have been able to do a nursery for any of our children. When Grace was born we lived in a one bedroom apartment, so no decorating there, and when Taylor was born we were just 4 months away from leaving Peru, so I didn't do too much in her room. So, this was a huge task but I really think that Titus will like his room at least his mommy does! I'm still waiting on the curtains so, when we get them up and the crib ready I'll put more pictures up. Let me know what you think!!

Surprise!

This past saturday we had a work day at our "new" church building. We were all there painting, cleaning, the guys were fixing holes in the roof and all kinds of things. So, we worked all morning, went to lunch, and then were supposed to be back to at the church around 4pm. So, I didn't have any make up on and was wearing an old t-shirt with a bleach stain on it. Needless to say, I didn't look very pretty. Well, when we got back to the church at 4pm and opened the door everyone screamed surprise! the church gave us a baby shower for Titus! Kevin and I had a ton of fun. They had planned great games and actually it was with couples so men and women were there. The last game I felt so bad for Kevin. I had to pick up the gifts and guess what it was if i guessed right I had to put makeup on the person that brought the gift, if i guessed wrong I had to put makeup on Kevin!!! So, the pictures with him in makeup is because of that, not because he hasn't gone crazy!! It was a lot of fun here are some pictures!

About my Father's business

Since we have gotten back from the United States my girls have been asking when are we going back. The other day in the car Taylor was talking and talking like she always does. She began to ask me about when we were going to see Grandma again. I said well, it will be a while. She said oh yes mommy we have to stay here in our house and work for Jesus! To me that is just amazing that a 3 year old could grasp that. I had told our girls before that we were here to serve Jesus and work for Him, but never did I think that they would understand that fully. I do miss our families and the United States, but I am thankful that we are here to serve our Lord and Saviour.

Let's Ponder!

I have always loved the verse in the Bible that says that Mary pondered all of these things in her heart. As a mother, I want to remember or ponder on all the things that my children do or say. I know that some days are better than others, but even the not so good days are days that we can glean something from. I never want to forget the days that they make me laugh and we make great memories together. Anyways, just thought I'd share something from my heart. Even when you have a difficult day don't forget to ponder. Our children grow up so fast!

I live with a Genius!

Here for motorcycle they use the word moto. Yesterday, we went to the grocery store and Taylor and I were in the car waiting for Kevin to come out. All of the sudden, Taylor says Mo   To uhhh mommy that says Moto. I looked and there was a sign with the word Moto written on it. I was so shocked my 3 year old sounded out the word Moto! I know I'm her mommy but I still say that I live with a Genius!!!

Seeing 3 D

We were able to get a 3D ultra sound two weeks ago thanks to my mother-in-law!  They are a little hard to see but here they are. The first one is a side profile, and the second one is looking at his face you can see his two eyes nose and he is smiling. How cute!
